So.............

Anyone know how long it takes a tooth to work it's way down the digestive system???





You'll have to excuse the grossness of the chewed up food. Trust me. I took a gazillion pictures and this is the best one I could get.

It's his first tooth!!! He's growing up. He's not a little boy anymore. Waaaahhhh!

On the plus side, I guess it's better to search through a diaper for a tooth than to fish it out of the toilet. Or is it? I'll get back to you on that one.

Between them, my kids have swallowed 4 teeth (Rose Bud swallowed her first TWO) and I swallowed one too. We all turned out fine. I hope you're not looking for it in order to save it! It's ok to write the tooth fairy a note about what happened. Trust me, she understands. LOL

Acceptance and Moving Forward

It's been so long since I posted here. I wasn't even sure that I would remember my password. And, actually, I really haven't planned anything to write out, but I just had this overwhelming urge to post today. Maybe so that I can look back on this post next year and see how far we've come, I'm not sure. But here we are... and here I am.... 2016 was a challenge. Not just for our family, but for everyone it seems. I look around and 2016 just seems to be a year of hurt. It was a tough year on so many levels.  A little over a year ago, on December 23, 2015, we were told that my husband most likely had a certain lung condition that gave him only three years to live. We are so fortunate that it was NOT what they thought, but it led us straight into 2016 full of fear and despair.... feelings which continue all the way through today.... and may lead into 2017. Noah said, "I love you, Mom"!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I can't believe it!!! I walked by him sitting at the table and kissed him on the head and said, "Have I told you this morning how much I love you?" And he said, "Iduvumum" Of course, I was stunned. And I said, "Noah, did you just say, "I love you mom? Yes or No?" And he said, "Esssss" Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Of course I cried. And called Sim. And called my mom. And Noah was so pleased with himself that he took me by the hand and led me straight to the TV so that he could watch an Elmo video. I guess he thought, "Hey, I told you I love you, so now I get a freebie." This officially goes down in history as the best day of my life. (Doing carthwheels and happy dances and thanking Jesus).
