Things that make you go hmmmmm??

You know that neighbor guy that I blogged about a few months ago? You know. The one who has a bit of a problem with our kids?

Well, you can imagine the look on his face when Eli and Nandini raided the dress-up box and came outside to show us their new creations...



Mr. Neighbor happened to be outside mowing at the exact time that Mr. Snow White and Little Flapper Girl sauntered outside. I swear his eyes nearly popped out of his head. And then I think he swore under his breath and muttered something about "freaks".

Oh, yes. I'm sure we're the talk of our neighborbood.

Oh that picture was priceless- they didn't seem to have a care in the world about what the neighbor guys was thinking about them! LOL LOVE IT! And don't tell Eli I said this- but he makes a pretty cute snow white! ;0) Nandini- she is just plain CUTE. Amy

Acceptance and Moving Forward

It's been so long since I posted here. I wasn't even sure that I would remember my password. And, actually, I really haven't planned anything to write out, but I just had this overwhelming urge to post today. Maybe so that I can look back on this post next year and see how far we've come, I'm not sure. But here we are... and here I am.... 2016 was a challenge. Not just for our family, but for everyone it seems. I look around and 2016 just seems to be a year of hurt. It was a tough year on so many levels.  A little over a year ago, on December 23, 2015, we were told that my husband most likely had a certain lung condition that gave him only three years to live. We are so fortunate that it was NOT what they thought, but it led us straight into 2016 full of fear and despair.... feelings which continue all the way through today.... and may lead into 2017. Noah said, "I love you, Mom"!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I can't believe it!!! I walked by him sitting at the table and kissed him on the head and said, "Have I told you this morning how much I love you?" And he said, "Iduvumum" Of course, I was stunned. And I said, "Noah, did you just say, "I love you mom? Yes or No?" And he said, "Esssss" Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Of course I cried. And called Sim. And called my mom. And Noah was so pleased with himself that he took me by the hand and led me straight to the TV so that he could watch an Elmo video. I guess he thought, "Hey, I told you I love you, so now I get a freebie." This officially goes down in history as the best day of my life. (Doing carthwheels and happy dances and thanking Jesus).
